Meet Mandy Bliss, MSN, APRN, FNP‑BC, PMHNP‑BC
Mandy Bliss is a nurse practitioner, double board-certified in family and psychiatric/mental health care. She is the founder of Bliss Progressive Psychiatry and also serves as Medical Advisor for Cornbread Hemp. Mandy’s practice blends customized prescribing with a trauma-informed, person-centered approach. Her 17 year career as a nurse practitioner enables her to offer a holistic, bio-psycho-social approach to treating each individual's mental health and associated physical health needs. This can include prescribing medications for mental health (including FDA-approved hormones in menopause and perimenopause, addressing the symptoms of trauma, and educating about evidence-base supplements.
Mandy earned her BSN and MSN from Emory University in Atlanta and completed post-master’s training in psychiatric and mental health at University of Cincinnati. Her clinical experience spans reproductive health, primary care, and outpatient mental health, including as the lead clinician at Serenity Health, an interventional psychiatry practice in Louisville, Kentucky. She has extensive, education and clinical experience with ketamine and KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) for a variety of mental health concerns. She was in the final cohort of clinicians to complete the MAPS MDMA Therapy Training.
Mandy has been featured on podcasts and industry platforms discussing the evolving role of psychiatric nurse practitioners, trauma-focused care, and the science of plant-based therapeutics. Her approach weaves together the most up-to-date, evidence-based care, a curiosity to learn more, and the power of treating the whole person.
